Welcome to EMTS.

Who Are We?
The Electromechanical Technology Society (EMTS) is a club at George Brown Polytechnic in Toronto that fosters a collaborative and supportive environment for students interested in electromechanical fields and industries. We host a bi-monthly speaker series, maintain a digital library of resources, and offer assistance for personal projects and hobbies related to electromechanical topics. The EMTS focuses on networking and career advice, encourages group projects, and promotes various electromechanical themes such as radio, drones, 3D printing, and solar power. The club aims to connect students across programs with similar interests and promote specific events to attract more members.
What We Offer.
Speaker Series.
The EMTS organizes a speaker series where experts from the electromechanical industry share their knowledge and experiences. This provides members with valuable insights and exposure to real-world applications of electromechanical technology.
Project Support.
We know how much goes into a project, no matter how big or small. Because of this, the EMTS serves as a community designed to help students realize their electromechanical ideas.

Whether it's through our vast resource library, the aid of a fellow member, or even a suggestion of where to look for help, the Electromechanical Technology Society will ensure that your question has an answer.
Networking and Career Development.
Through our speaker series, our workshops and school resources, the EMTS provides opportunities for networking and career development in the electromechanical field. Members can gain insights from industry professionals, seek advice for career growth, and connect with like-minded individuals to explore potential opportunities.
Industry Workshops.
Alongside our speaker series, the EMTS runs a series of hands on industry based workshops which aim to teach members different procedures and techniques needed to excel in the technological world. These workshops are ran in school and cover a range of hands on topics such as soldering and advanced oscilloscope usage.
EMTS Community Project.
Over the summer semester, the EMTS runs a large scale community project which gives members the opportunity to work with likeminded individuals and put their passion for technology to the test.
